Hydro Seal penetrates the surface through moisture absorption and reacts with free lime within the substrate to form a hard crystalline structure. This helps block pores against water penetration and, once properly cured, becomes an integral part of the treated surface.

How Hydro Seal Works

Hydro Seal works within the treated surface rather than simply sitting on top of it.

As moisture is absorbed into the substrate, Hydro Seal penetrates the surface and reacts with free lime. This reaction forms a hard crystalline structure that helps block pores and reduce the movement of water through the treated area.

Once correctly applied and cured, the waterproofing becomes an integral part of the surface.

Mixing & Surface Preparation

Hydro Seal needs to be mixed with water and bonding liquid before application.

Correct surface preparation is important for effective waterproofing. Before applying Hydro Seal:

• Remove dirt, dust and contaminants

• Remove loose or unstable material

• Properly repair suitable cracks and damaged areas

• Make sure the substrate is correctly prepared before application

Always follow the recommended mixing, application and curing instructions for the best results.

With approximately 7m² of coverage when applying the recommended two coats, the 25kg Hydro Seal is ideal when you need to waterproof a larger pond, pool base, fountain or water feature.
