When Should You Replace Your UV Globe?

UV globes gradually lose their effectiveness over time, even if they still light up. Replacing your globe regularly helps maintain the performance of your UV filtration system.

Recommended Replacement Intervals:

• UV Sterilisation: Every 6 months (approximately 4,000 operating hours).

• Pond & Aquarium Clarification: Every 12 months (approximately 8,000 operating hours).

These are general recommendations. Always follow your UV unit manufacturer's replacement guidelines.

Maintenance Tips

When replacing your UV globe, it's also a good idea to clean the quartz sleeve inside your UV unit. Dirt, algae and mineral build-up on the sleeve can reduce the amount of UV light reaching the water, affecting the unit's performance.

Please Note: Before purchasing, check that your UV unit requires a 36W replacement globe and that the lamp dimensions and connection type match your existing unit. Always disconnect the UV unit from the power supply before replacing the globe. Never operate a UV-C lamp outside its protective housing.
