How the Floating Pond Skimmer Works
In skimmer mode, the pump draws a thin layer of surface water towards the floating intake. This continuous movement attracts floating debris such as leaves, grass and other organic matter before it can sink and accumulate at the bottom of the pond.
Larger debris is collected inside the skimmer strainer, which should be emptied regularly to maintain optimal performance. Smaller suspended particles can pass through to an attached pond filtration system if one is installed.
By regularly removing organic debris from the surface before it begins to break down, the skimmer can help reduce the amount of unwanted organic material entering your pond.
When you'd rather enjoy a decorative display, simply switch to fountain mode and choose from the three included fountain nozzles.
