The Waterhouse WH1000 Pond & Fountain Pump is a powerful, energy-efficient submersible pump designed for ponds, fountains and decorative water features. With a maximum flow rate of 1000 litres per hour, it provides reliable water circulation while using only 16 W of power.

An adjustable flow control allows you to fine-tune the water output to suit your feature, while the 1.8 m maximum head height provides the lifting power required for larger water features and fountain installations. The included 12 mm, 16 mm and 20 mm adaptor fittings offer flexibility when connecting different pipe sizes.

Built for continuous operation, the WH1000 features an eco-design motor, thermal overload protection and a long-life impeller for dependable everyday performance. Replacement impellers are readily available, making maintenance simple and helping to keep your pump operating efficiently over time.

How to choose the right pump

Pump guide step 1 of 4: Don't choose a pump on litres per hour alone. The higher your pump has to push water, the less water comes out. How high does the water need to travel? Measure straight up from the water surface to the highest point where water comes out. Rule of thumb: choose a pump whose maximum head is at least 1.5x your measured height.

Pump guide step 2 of 4: How strong should the water flow? Picture the look you want first. That tells you how many litres per hour (L/h) you need. Gentle trickle: lower L/h. Steady flow: medium L/h. Strong waterfall: higher L/h. Wider outlet, more flow needed: a 60 cm waterfall lip needs far more litres per hour than a 10 cm spout.

Pump guide step 3 of 4: How far does the water travel? Every metre of pipe and every bend slows the water down. Narrow pipes slow it even more. Pump far from the outlet, or lots of bends? Choose a little more pump capacity than you think you need. Make sure your tubing fits: check the pump's outlet size on the product page.

Pump guide step 4 of 4: Match the pump to your feature. Small tabletop or pot: low flow. Small fountain: flow + head height. Medium water feature: head height + L/h. Wall spout: head height + pipe restriction. Multi-tier fountain: higher head + spare capacity. Waterfall: L/h + waterfall width. Large feature: high L/h + high head.
