REPLACEMENT & MAINTENANCE:
For applications where the UV globe is being used for sterilisation, replacement is recommended approximately every 6 months or 4,000 operating hours.
For general pond or aquarium clarification, replacement is recommended approximately every 12 months or 8,000 operating hours.
When replacing the UV globe, it is also a good opportunity to clean the quartz sleeve, as build-up on the sleeve can reduce the amount of UV light reaching the water.
IMPORTANT:
Do not touch the UV glass with your bare fingers when replacing the globe. Oils and residue from your skin can remain on the glass and may affect the lamp during operation.
Always switch off and disconnect the UV unit from its power source before carrying out maintenance or replacing the globe.
