50mm Diffuser Bottom Drain.
The Diffuser bottom drain performs a dual function by combining the suction point of the pond/drain with an air diffuser.
This creates a current of water towards the drain which assists in removing the solid waste, whilst at the same time infusing air into the water increasing the oxygen level in the pond
Bottom drains are often used when building any pond. All the waste material and ammonia settle at the bottom of the pond, creating the need for a suction point to ensure that all waste material is removed and filtered through to the mechanical biological filter.
Bottom drains also make pond maintenance easier by continuously removing built up waste or sludge in the pond by mechanically filtration. In this way you should never need to drain the pond to clear it out.
