Ideal for larger projects, the 12kg Hydro Seal can be used when building a new pond, renovating an existing water feature, waterproofing a fountain or treating other compatible concrete and masonry surfaces.

Rather than simply sitting on top of the surface, Hydro Seal penetrates into the substrate and reacts with free lime to form a hard crystalline structure. This helps block pores within the treated surface and reduce the movement of water through it.

How Hydro Seal Works

Hydro Seal works within the treated surface rather than simply creating a coating on top.

As moisture is absorbed into the substrate, Hydro Seal penetrates the surface and reacts with free lime. This reaction creates a hard crystalline structure that helps block pores and reduce water penetration.

Once correctly applied and cured, the waterproofing becomes an integral part of the treated surface.

Mixing Requirements

Hydro Seal needs to be mixed with water and bonding liquid before application.

Correct surface preparation is important for effective waterproofing. Before applying Hydro Seal:

• Remove dirt, dust and contaminants

• Remove loose or unstable material

• Properly repair suitable cracks and damaged areas

• Make sure the substrate is correctly prepared before application
