55 Watt UV Clarifier – Ultrazap.

The Ultra Zap 55 Watt 50,000 Litre UV Steriliser can handle ponds up to 50,000 Litres with a maximum flow rate of 300L/Min.

NOTE: The UV tubes in the UV Sterilizer need to be replaced every 9 – 12 months.

The U.V steriliser effectively assists in destroying harmful pathogens and algae that may exist within your system especially during the warmer months of the year

How it works - 

An Ultra Zap UV Sterilizer will maintain a clear pond throughout the year without the use of chemicals.  The unit works by exposing the phototrophic micro-organisms ( free floating single called algae) to a dose of UV radiation. This destroys and prevents the regrowth of the phototropic  micro- organisms.

A U.V steriliser is used to control infections by stopping the spread of micro-organisms from one fish/coral/invertebrate to another through the water. It is also utilised in pond applications, aquaponics and hydroponic systems in order to control free – floating algae

When operated correctly, free–floating micro-organisms will be killed by the UV light. Organisms must be in the water that flows to the UV steriliser.

The Ultra Zap U.V Steriliser will have no effect on the inhabitants that exist within your fish tank, water tank, or fish pond.

The UV light has no residual effect and will not kill organisms attached to fish
